Deep Sleep & Sound

Unwind and Rejuvenate: Your Path to Deep Sleep

The Session Flow:

​I. Pranayama: Breath Regulation (20 Minutes)

​We begin seated to establish a clear vertical axis. Pranayama acts as the "key" to the nervous system, shifting you from the sympathetic (fight/flight) to the parasympathetic (rest/digest) state.

  • ​Nadi Shodhana: Alternate nostril breathing to balance the solar and lunar energies (the analytical and creative hemispheres of the brain).

  • ​Bhramari (Humming Bee Breath): Using internal sound to soothe the cranial nerves and prepare the ears for the upcoming Sound Bath.

  • ​The Result: A quieted mind and a body saturated with oxygen, ready for deep stillness.

​II. Yoga Nidra: Conscious Sleep (40 Minutes)

​Lying in total comfort, you are guided through a systematic meditation that withdraws the senses (Pratyahara).

  • ​Body Scanning: Rapidly moving awareness through the physical body to "switch off" motor neurons.

  • ​Breath Awareness: Observing the natural, unforced flow to deepen the trance state.

  • ​Emotional Integration: Navigating pairs of opposites (heaviness/lightness, heat/cold) to build emotional resilience and neuroplasticity.

​III. Sound Immersion: Frequency Healing (20 Minutes)

​As the guided meditation tapers off, the room is flooded with the harmonic overtones of sacred instruments.

  • ​The Sonic Cocoon: Gongs and crystal bowls produce frequencies that physically massage the cells.

  • ​Brainwave Entrainment: The sound stabilizes your brainwaves into the Delta and Theta range, where the body's natural healing mechanisms are most active.

​IV. Grounding & Awakening (10 Minutes)

​The journey concludes with a gradual return to the waking state.

  • ​Somatic Awakening: Small movements starting at the fingers and toes.

  • ​Sealed Silence: A final minute of seated silence to integrate the vastness of the experience.

  • Classes are delivered at Watson House Studio in Morpeth.

  • Minimum 3 participants are required for the session to go ahead.

  • FÕM Yoga reserves the right to cancel the session in case of low numbers or participants.
