Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat
07 - 10 November 2025
At the serene location of the Northumberland coast, overlooking Holy Island, with clean, crisp air, to enhance the connection to the Air element's qualities and through gentle yet transformative practices, this retreat empowers you to harness the vital energy of the Air element for greater well-being and a deeper sense of presence. It's a culmination of our passion for sharing the liberating qualities of conscious breathing and Ayurvedic practices in our daily lives.
Breath of Autumn: Air Element Retreat is a dedicated guide in the art of mindful living and the power of breath. With practices like Yoga and Pranayama, this retreat allows you to discover the profound connection between breath, clarity, and inner peace. We'll specifically explore how these practices enhance your Throat Chakra, fostering clear communication and authentic self-expression.
This weekend retreat is for anyone seeking emotional release, clarity, and a deeper connection to their breath, and to themselves.

A Sound Bath is a deeply immersive, full-body meditative experience where participants are "bathed" in resonant sound waves.
During a session, you lie comfortably and listen as a practitioner plays overtone-emitting instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. The specific frequencies and vibrations are intended to slow down brain waves, shifting the mind from an active state to a deeply relaxed, meditative, or dreamlike state, promoting stress reduction, emotional release, and deep rest.
Our focus this weekend is on providing a deeply grounding and stabilizing experience, and at the heart of this practice is the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda—a holistic system of natural medicine with roots in India dating back thousands of years.
This Weekend Retreat is a sanctuary designed through the lens of Ayurveda. We offer a space to consciously tune in and tend to your Vata dosha, transforming the potentially agitating "wind" of the season into a gentle, supportive breeze. Over this nurturing weekend, you will learn to counter the mobile, dry nature of Vata with practices that bring warmth, grounding, routine, and deep moisture—the essential antidotes to the Air Element's excess.
This ritual isn't just about moisturizing; it's a profound way to soothe the nervous system, stimulate circulation, and provide deep nourishment to the tissues. By using warm, specifically chosen oils (like sesame or almond, which are warming and heavy), we counteract Vata's dry, cold qualities, bringing an immediate sense of calm, warmth, and resilience to your entire being.
Prepare to slow down, connect with your body, and experience the transformative power of this ancient, self-loving ritual.
This weekend, we delve into Prana Chikitsa, the therapeutic art of healing through vital life force. This practice involves specialized breathing techniques (Pranayama), gentle meditative movements, and energy work designed to gather, harmonize, and redirect your vital energy.
Through specific, rhythmic, and grounding exercises like Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing), we will soothe your nervous system, stabilize your mind, and channel your Prana inwards, leaving you feeling deeply centered, revitalized, and fully present—the ultimate counterbalance to Vata's airy nature.
This weekend we will dive into the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda to unlock the secrets to naturally radiant and healthy skin. Forget the confusing array of products and ingredients; Ayurveda focuses on working with your unique constitution (or dosha) to create a truly personalized and holistic skincare ritual.
Learn about beautiful natural ingredients, mindful self-care techniques, and how to bring balance from the inside out.
Speak Your Truth Mentoring Workshop will be guided by Women's Mentor and Holistic Therapies practitioner Helen S Clark,
This workshop is a dedicated space for women to harness the grounding wisdom of Ayurveda and unlock their innate power of expression. This is not about being loud; it’s about being clear, centered, and courageous.
Guided by principles that specifically pacify Vata—promoting stability and inner space—this workshop offers practical tools and a supportive sisterhood environment. Learn to identify when and why your voice contracts, use intentional language to set compassionate boundaries, and confidently articulate your desires.
Our holistic therapies and healer Rachel Summerson from LIFE Holistic Therapies will offer treatment during the free time of the retreat, such us: Reflexology, Aromatherapy Massage, Indian Head Massage, Table Thai Massage (treatments are payable separately).

As the season shifts and the air grows crisp, it's natural for our inner balance to be affected by the light, cool, and mobile qualities of the Vata Dosha.
