While traditional Yin Yoga focuses on the physical edges of our connective tissues, Embodied Yin invites you to go a layer deeper. This is a meditative, slow-paced practice where we don’t just "do" a pose—we inhabit it. It is a journey into the felt sense of the body, designed to bridge the gap between mind and matter.
In this session, we hold floor-based postures for 3 to 7 minutes. However, rather than remaining purely static, we use somatic inquiry to find "micro-movements" within the stillness. This approach allows your nervous system to feel safe enough to truly let go.
Deep Tissue Release: Targeting the fascia, ligaments, and joints where emotional stress and physical trauma are often stored.
Interoceptive Awareness: Developing the "inner eye" to notice subtle sensations, temperature shifts, and the flow of energy (Prana or Qi).
The Power of Props: We use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to create a "nest," allowing the muscles to completely disengage so the deeper tissues can be nourished.
Mindful Inquiry: Themes of self-compassion and non-judgment are woven through the silence, helping you process anxiety and mental clutter.
This class is the perfect "antidote" to a busy, high-stress lifestyle. It is highly recommended for those dealing with:
Chronic Fatigue or Burnout: Recharging your "inner battery" through deep rest.
Sleep Issues: Quieting the mind to prepare the body for restorative sleep.
Emotional Heaviness: Gently "digesting" stored emotions in a safe, held space.
Registration opens AUG 22, 6:30 PM
