Spiral Fascial Flow is a deeply fluid, non-linear, embodied movement experience that breaks away from rigid, traditional yoga geometry. Nature rarely moves in straight lines—from our DNA double helix and the way a fern unfurls, to the muscles wrapping around our bones, the universe is built on spirals.
This session bridges the gap between structured Vinyasa Flow (linking continuous movement with breath) and Somatic Exploration (focusing on internal sensation rather than visual form). Instead of just moving front-to-back on your mat, you will explore circular, waving, and spiraling pathways. It is a slow, rhythmic, and fluid practice that invites you to shed rigid expectations and let your body slide into its natural, organic rhythm.
Most day-to-day exercises keep us locked in a single plane of motion (think walking forward, bending straight down, or lifting weights). By introducing multidirectional spirals, undulating spine ripples, and continuous twists, this practice unlocks the joints, expands your spatial awareness, and hydrates the deep fascial webbing of the body. It moves you out of your analytical brain and into a state of intuitive, creative flow.
Somatic Landings: We begin close to the earth with micro-movements, gentle rocking, and joint freeing to check in with the nervous system and map where tension is hiding.
Fluid Vinyasa Waves: As we rise, traditional poses (like lunges, down dogs, and warriors) are completely reimagined. You’ll weave seamlessly from one shape into the next using continuous, circular transitions, waves, and gentle sways.
Non-Linear Sequencing: Expect a dynamic, full-body sequence that playfully utilizes the entirety of your mat—turning side to side, spinning 360 degrees, and testing your equilibrium in a fun, liberating way.
Somatic Integration: The journey winds back down with unwinding floor twists and a deep, spacious rest to integrate the energetic shifts.
Joint Decoupling & Mobility: Lubricates the shoulders, spine, and hips by moving them through their full, natural range of multidirectional rotation.
Fascial Release: Elastic, spiralin movements bounce and slide through connective tissues, releasing deep-seated tightness that linear stretching cannot reach.
Playful Presentness: Because the sequencing is non-linear and dynamic, it demands your full attention, effortlessly washing away overthinking and mental chatter.
Calming "Yin" Energy: Shifting away from a rigid, hyper-focused "perfectionist" mindset allows you to lean into a softer, receptive, and deeply restorative state of body-trust.
Who is this for?
This class is perfect for anyone who feels tight, stiff, or bored by linear routines. If you want to build strength and stability while simultaneously cultivating a sense of freedom, softness, and play on the mat, this practice is for you. All levels are welcome—you are always encouraged to drop the "rules" and move in whatever way feels good to you.
