Rebalance, Release & Realign

When: Monday 9:30 -10:45 AM

Where: Watson House Studio, Morpeth & Online via Zoom

Rooted in ancient tradition, Classical Hatha Yoga offers a deliberate, mindful practice that focuses on alignment, breath awareness, and held postures (asanas). Unlike fast-paced flow styles, this classical approach emphasizes stillness and precision, allowing you to build deep core stability, physical strength, and joint mobility while calming the nervous system.

During each session, you will move through a balanced sequence of foundational postures, conscious breathing techniques (pranayama), and moments of quiet integration. Postures are held long enough to refine alignment, release deep-seated muscular tension, and cultivate mental focus.

Key Elements of the Session

  • Precision Alignment Practice: Build structural integrity from the ground up. We focus on optimal joint positioning and anatomical symmetry, helping you unwind compensatory posture patterns and move with effortless stability.

  • Prop-Assisted Movement: Experience total support using specialized tools designed to adapt postures to your unique body rather than forcing your body into a pose:

    • Blocks & Straps: Find proper reach, lengthen hamstrings safely, and stabilize joints.

    • Bolsters: Cushion and ground the body for effortless, supported holding phases.

  • Conscious Breath Awareness (Pranayama): Anchor your mind and calm your nervous system. Through guided, intentional breathwork, you’ll shift from "fight-or-flight" into deep parasympathetic healing, releasing mental tension alongside physical tightness.
