Experience the transformative power of Somatic Movement
Rediscover the joy of fluid, pain-free movement in this specialized Movement Therapy session. This class moves away from traditional "exercise" and instead focuses on the therapeutic relationship between the brain, the nervous system, and the body.
It is a slow-paced, deeply intentional practice designed to resolve physical tension and mental fatigue through a blend of science-backed somatic techniques and meditative practice s.
"Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself." — Moshe Feldenkrais
The Practice Breakdown:
Somatic Neuromuscular Re-education: We start with small, conscious movements designed to "wake up" the brain-to-muscle connection. By focusing on the internal sensation of the movement rather than the external form, we target Sensory Motor Amnesia—helping your brain remember how to relax muscles that have stayed tight due to stress or repetitive habits.
Therapeutic Flow & Release: Using gentle, rhythmic patterns, we encourage the fascia to hydrate and the joints to mobilize. This stage is about finding "ease" rather than "effort," allowing your body to find its natural alignment without force.
Deep Relaxation: The session concludes with a prolonged period of rest. As you settle into stillness, you will be guided though a short session of Yoga Nidra - guided meditation to help you quiet the "monkey mind," leaving you feeling grounded and emotionally balanced.
Benefits of this Class:
Pain Management: Reduces chronic tension in the neck, shoulders, and lower back.
Nervous System Regulation: Shifts the body from "Fight or Flight" to a state of calm.
Improved Mobility: Enhances your range of motion by releasing habitual holding patterns.
Mental Clarity: Clears the mental fog often caused by a busy week.
